The “East Edge File” Video
Back in 2017 when I started building this website I went down a bit of a rabbit hole and purchased several items online from eBay and several Japanese proxy-buying services – one of which was the “East Edge File” promotional disc...
When OverBlood 2 was released back in 1998, Japanese gamers could pre-order their copy for 6,88 yen. As an incentive the first 10,000 customers also received the “East Edge File” disc, pictured below;

Presented in a cardboard cover, the disc features content not in the main game in addition to a fold-out leaflet named “Mission Map 2 plus α”. In addition, there is also a (more rare) variant with a yellow cover – pictures of which can be found on the Physical Media page.
Unable to find a downloadable ROM for this promotional disc anywhere online, I recently got hold of laptop with a CD drive and ripped it myself. The below video shows everything the disc has to offer;

As you can see from the video, the disc offers various insights into the world and characters in OverBlood 2 – and although it’s in Japanese offers some information that cannot be learned anywhere else (including that of a secret location within the game I was previously unaware of towards the end of Episode 6).
As far as I can tell, this footage and the contents of the “East Edge File” are nowhere else online at the time of writing.
