CP & Rankings

As you progress through OverBlood 2, you will be awarded a ranking at the end of each Episode based on two key factors;

  • The length of time you take to complete the Episode
  • The amount of Clear Points (CP) that you accumulate during the Episode

By collecting a total of 2,000 CP by the end of the game you will unlock Episode 8, which is a bonus level.

You can view how much CP you have gained during a certain Episode by pressing the start button – you will notice the number at the top-left of the screen displaying current CP.

While you are in East Edge City between Episodes, there are two locations you can head to in order to get a list of the CP you have gained during each of your completed Episodes. At both entrance of D-NA Bar and inside the Church, you will find a small grey robot – interacting with the robot will display your games progress so far, including accumulated CP.

Overview

Clear Points can be gained and lost throughout every Episode when the following actions are performed;

CP Gained

  • Collect item: +2
  • Defeat an enemy: +1
  • Defeat a boss: +5
  • Destory an item (i.e. shoot glass): +1
  • Extinguish a fire: +2
  • Burn something: +2

CP Deducted

  • Game over: -5
  • Use the Hook Shot: -2
  • Use a recovery item: -1
  • Reload: -1
  • Use Grenade: -1
  • Use an Instant Plate: -10

One simple tip to avoid hemeraging CP is to re-load your save instead of opting to start from the beginning of the area when you die. 

There is additional bonus CP to collect during each Episode of the game, as detailed below.

Episode 1

  • Use the switch to open the submarine room; 5
  • Open the submarine hatch; 5
  • Open every door on 3F; 2 (per door)
  • Open the door to the Power Room using the Silver Key Card; 5

Episode 2

  • Put oil in the platform tank; 5
  • Jump from power generation turbine to first security system; 5

Episode 3

Bonus CP;

You will gain extra CP depending on how you perform in the junk blade race at the end of the Episode;

  • 100% health left at the end of the race; 80
  • 50-99% health left at the end of the race; % of 80 points depending on health left
  • Under 50% health left at the end of the race; 0

  • A: 251-300
  • B: 201-250
  • C: 151-200
  • D: 101-150

Episode 4

You will gain extra CP depending on how you perform in the dance task in the middle of the Episode;

  • Complete the dance on hard difficulty; 100
  • Complete the dance on medium difficulty; 50
  • Complete the dance on easy difficulty; 0

Episode 5

  • 100% health at the end of the boat journey; 40
